Friends–

Two years ago, thanks to your support, I was elected to represent Southwest Minneapolis on the Park Board. It has been a privilege to serve my hometown in this capacity; being your Park Board Commissioner has been one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences of my life. Today I can report a number of accomplishments, but like most things in life, our work is not yet done and your support is just and ideas are as important now as ever.

I campaigned on a simple idea: The parks are for everyone. This concept can be adapted to a number of the issues we face on the Park Board. But ultimately, it’s about inclusiveness and making sure we serve the diverse interests of our community.

Over the last several months, I’ve focused on issues and projects that make our parks more accessible, more family and youth focused, increased volunteerism, and have held the line on your taxes while fighting efforts to privatize our parks. I’m proud of what I’ve been able to accomplish; see the other side of this letter for some of the specifics of what I’ve gotten done in the last two years.

Thank you again for your support over the last two years and into the future! I’m honored to serve you and strive for what we all care about, as your 6th District Commissioner on the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board.

Yours in service,

Brad
